Using interactive, multi-media techniques and supported by a personal course tutor, the course is self-paced with no time pressure for completion; the student simply studies at home or at work when time permits.

The course consists of the following Units:
Unit 1 – A Crash Course in HTML
This Unit provides you with a “crash” course in HTML. During this Unit you will be introduced to all of the major groups of HTML tags. The following topics are covered: Introducing HTML; HTML document types; Text formatting tags; Hypertext links and anchors; Creating lists in HTML; Making forms in HTML; Using; Using Graphics and images; and Assignment - HTML coding exercises.
Unit 2 – Building Your Home Page
During this Unit you will focus on the HTML text formatting tags and learn the basics about graphic design, to start building your first web page. The following topics are covered: Inspect the kexpan.com homepage and look at the code in detail; Review of document, meta and formatting tags; How Cascading Style Sheets work; Formatting text using CSS; formatting tables using CSS and Assignment - Building your own home page.
Unit 3 – Information Pages
In this Unit, you will inspect “About Us” page, which describes the company background and history. This Web page can be used for a company profile or for information about a chosen topic or hobby. The following topics are covered in this Unit: Look at Information page and the underlying HTML code in detail; A review of image, list and font tags; Formatting lists using CSS; Formatting backgrounds using CSS; and Assignment  - Building your own Information Page.

In this Unit, you will inspect Products and Services page. This can be used as a product and services page or for further information about a chosen topic/hobby. Unit 5 – Contact Details Page
In this Unit, you will inspect Contact Details page, which contains contact information for visitors. The following topics are covered in this Unit: Inspect the Supernova Contact Details page; Review of the <form> tag; Verifying and debugging your HTML code; and Assignment: Build your own Contact Details page.
Unit 6 – Working with fireworks Image editor
This unit is designed to help participants create, edit web images. Learn how to create vectors, add colors, re-size image, add effects to images, how to create slide: Assignment; – Adding images to your pages.
Requirements
There are no particular entry requirements, although it is recommended that users have a good knowledge of using computers and good word processing skills.
